Cancer has been a literal plague in most of our world’s time . My Wife Is The Survivor that I admire, day by day. Even though no one’s life is worth more than any other. Everyone has the right to live. Even unborn ones. Planned or unplanned. This is my personal opinion of course. Even at the cost of sounding Rude, I believe the to or the “freedom to reproduce” does not mean get pregnant 30 times and abort 30. The importance is great when many diseases take lives the way it currently has with in the few past years. Of course that’s my opinion. And circumstances can say what is right or wrong.
But I Digress…
My Wife is the star of my stage today. She is the mother of five wonderful girls, who were not suppose to happen. At the tender age of nine, she was diagnosed with epilepsy. At the age of fourteen she was diagnosed with Leukemia. Talk about having your world brought to hell. Let look at what is leukemia Really:
Leukemia is one type of cancer that causes the blood and bone marrow to break. In the Sense that It forces the bone marrow to over work and cause an abnormal amount of white blood cells to be produced. White Blood Cells as you well know is important for fighting infections. However, in the case of Leukemia, these white blood cells are immature and don’t work as they should. This can lead to a multiple symptoms, including fatigue, fever, easy bruising, and frequent infections.

How it Happened in her life…..
When she was around six months old a careless mistake (that can happen to anyone). She accidentally fell off a couch. On impact she got a concussion on her left side of her skull. No signs of conditions happened until she was nine years of age. Meanwhile she grew up with a few uncommon reactions that no one understood. Many Chain reactions of impulsive actions that no one understood why she acted the way she did. Then she was Diagnosed with 2 types of Epilepsy. Electric interference and Chemical interference. So she had to deal with what life gave her.
Around Fourteen My Wife The Survivor was Diagnosed with Leukemia. And feel into a deep depression. She was under the impression that she was going to die. Two tragic events in less than five years. I cannot phantom what she was thinking. After I heard this from her mom, I shed so many tears. I read the Medical records at hand. After reading the records, I came to the conclusion that malnutrition was a major factor. Not taking vitamins and such. Food was not a problem, but she is a picky eater. Even now.
Treatments and costs…
My wife came from a poor family. So treatment was on the hard side. She was almost murdered in the hospital with many experiments that were being conducted on her by the doctors and so called assistant’s. My wife’s grandma caught the nurse injecting a concoction of experimental meds mixed with a dose of questionable diluted chems. She was always in a trance. So they forcefully took her out of her home country and was brought to the states.
While I wasn’t able to get exact Cost for These Cancer therapies in 1989, it’s important to note that healthcare costs, (including those for cancer treatment) have become more costly over the years. This is due to factors such as: Technology advancements, inflation, and many changes to insurance coverage. So when I state “If you want to live, you must pay more!” it is literally not a joke.
The Probabilities of Survival…
Even if the treatments were available to you at a low price, your chances of survival were slim at best. Not all treatments worked as they should. So Tragedies can still happen. This nasty disease continues to take lives. I believe that although science can save lives, there is still a factor that humanity takes for granted. Calling for him in times of needs only. And by “HIM” I mean the almighty himself. The Alpha and The Omega. The Creator himself. The Body needs him no matter what powerful medicines we may have. I believe the power of the Holy Ghost is important. I call it “The Warrior Spirit”. We need them equal in parts both. Because the knowledge gained to heal came from the GOD himself. He imparted knowledge/wisdom to us as he did with the Ten Commandments.
My Wife The Survivor …..
I cried many times just thinking what could have been running through her young mind. As her condition worsened, her hair began to fall off. So At the same time she lost weight. Dropping from 110 pounds to a mere 86 pounds or less. My Wife Became more ghostly, her face resembling a skeleton. To add to her suffering, bruises covered her body, and she experienced frequent, unexplained sessions of stomach irritation. My God, how my heart aches as I write this to you all.
Then, My Wife The Survivor emerges!
In our awesome country of USA, she found life! The treatments in the state of Massachusetts were giving great results! Along with the therapies and a properly balanced meals and with vitamins and more, she regain what she lost. Her brain was receiving the proper nutrients for better health and in response she began to strengthen again. The Warrior Spirit in her was in full Warrior mode as she prayed and Prayed! John and Linda Keleher, M.D., her doctors, were like God’s hands on earth. And the lie that she would never have children was proven wrong! And so, she gave birth to five girls in time!
I took on the responsibility of caring for my wife’s seizures. As I ask The Almighty for for strength and wisdom, I moved to make her seizure’s a thing of the past. A Chain of events lead me to cross many states to the state of wisconsin. This is where we found the tool needed to slow down her Twenty one seizures a day to one every six months to a year. Doctors call it a VNS, short for Vagus Nerve Stimulator.
